Lucy’s Cat Blogging
February 26th, 2005
Hi Cat Fans! This is Lucy! I am SBG's fiancee.
When I heard that SBG was going to start blogging on Saturday, I said NO! Not another day of stupid commentary on Sports! I hate sports! This is a stupid blog! I don't understand why he writes all this stuff! Who cares about the Twins! Who cares about the Timberwolves! This is stupid!
From now on, I am taking over this blog on Saturdays! I am not going to talk about stupid sports! This is now a cat blogging site on Saturdays!
We have two cats. Jags and Theo! They are both cats that SBG agreed to take in. Jags was just four weeks old when my co-worker found him on the side of the road. I called SBG and said, "Please, can we have him? Please!" SBG talks a lot about sports, but he is a very good guy and he knew I wanted a cat. So, he said yes to the cat, sight unseen. Wow, what a guy! His only caveat was that he got to name it. And he named him after Mick Jagger. Now, at first I thought that was a silly name, but people liked it and so Jags it is.
Here's Jags!
But, poor Jags was so lonely. SBG was gone so much because of work and law school that Jags needed some company. So, I decided that Jags needed a brother. One day I found out about another cat that had a litter of kittens. I saw them and knew that I had found Jags' brother. But, SBG said no more cats! However, I was able to convince SBG that Jags needed a brother. And eventually, SBG gave in as usual. Once again, SBG had to name the cat. I wanted to call him Teddy, because he looked like a little bear. But, SBG said NO. His name will be Theodore Finkle. We call him Theo, for short.
Here's Theo!
See how much better this is than talking about baseball!

See you next Saturday!
Love, Lucy

Awwww----dose are very handsome puddie tats. Much better than stupid bean sports I agree! Some beans are so silly sometimes. Meow will read the cat blog every Saturday!
awwww is right. Those are very cute kitties. Great pictures, too.
Well, I'll tell ya Lucy, I really love baseball, and I love to talk about it. BUT, I also love kitties, and I love to talk about them too! And yours are very beautiful. So I think I will like this site any day of the week.
Welcome to the Cat Blogging World! Be sure to check out The Carnival of the Cats and Friday Ark -- the more the merrier.
Begone evil cats!
CC -- Cats are taking over the world. I know they run the show over at my place. Now, they've overrun my blog. We are powerless to stop it.
As an expatriated Minnesotan, I love the Twins, and I love cats, too. Your two guys are very cute!
Wile E. Odysseus
Theo is a fine name for a cat. Our Theo likes to whack balls around the living room, so there's your sports connection too!
I Love Lucy! I will be your loyal Saturday reader. I too am sick of sports talk. Your kitties are beautiful! Keep up the good work!
A new SBG record...twelve consecutive sentences ending in "!"! And an impressive fourteen of fifteen to start the column!
Moss enjoyed it though. SBG has more pictures of the cats at work than Moss has of Moss' children. Moss loves cats, but is allergic. So Moss enjoys the pictures.

What can I say? Lucy is enthusiastic about her cats! (SBG likes them, too.)
Lucy, you hate sports, but love cats?
But cats ARE sports. They're athletes. Drop a pingpong ball on a hardwood floor and watch kitty play hockey. Dangle a toy and watch 'em play Torii. (I won't mention their sport with mice.) I love cats, and I love sports. This'll be fun to see evolve.
Lucy is an athlete herself. She has run three marathons and is training for her fourth. She's a doer and not a watcher.
Awww, Lucy - your cats are great!!! What muffins!!!
Cute blog. Please visit my cat gift blog. It is all about cat gift.
