Next Big Update

April 28th, 2005 by SBG

The Next Big SBG Contest numbers are updated through this afternoon's game. Yours truly is tied for the lead with one BUW.

One note on the results so far. It's amazing how fast positions change. Only one of the top five people, FRW, was in the top five the last time I updated the numbers on this page. It changes wildly.

It's hard to tell if certain trends will continue. For example, Joe Mauer has caught in 17 games giving him a pace for 70 games. However, twice he's pinch hit and then came in and caught. I expect that he'll get more rest. But, damn, it's great to see him in the lineup almost every single day. Also, Justin (Li'l Harmon) Morneau has but one HR and is on pace for slightly more than four. The way he's been hitting lately, I expect him to pick it up big time. These early season anomolies will change. And just how much longer will Luis Rivas keep playing? Signs are that Gardentool (name used without express permission from Frightwig) has already run out of patience. He didn't play last night and didn't start today, although he did come in to pinch run for Li'l Harmon, only to be picked off. Gaaack!

Keep on coming back for updates. I also intend to add some more pitching numbers soon (I updated the starter numbers, too.) Look at some of those K/BB numbers. Yowza. Oh, and keep the Tagline suggestions coming. I've gotten some good ones.

Hmmmm, it appears I have dropped out of the top 5 of the big contest. It's early, but I am now preparing the neccesarry paperwork and redtape to launch a fullblown recount and or fillibuster as needed....
