Beer stein.jpgDetroit can clinch with a win tonight. So what are they doing? Laying down against the Royals. It's 7-0 in the first inning.

Holy Christ, the Twins are going to have a chance to win the division on the last day.

What'll you have?

Holy crap. That'd be a fitting end to this pennant race, eh?

Apparently nobody wants to play the A's. You know, scary lineup out here. Everyone is afraid of Milton Bradley.

The Server doesn't want to face the A's either.

The home team made TSG's weekly NFL column, Miami Dolphins entry. Sorta. (emphasis mine):

21. Miami, 1-2
They almost lost to Tennessee at home last week. Warrants mentioning. Anyway, a Bills fan sent me a great e-mail about Mike Mularkey, who rose to prominence in Pittsburgh with an offense that hinged on short passes, screens, reverses and trick plays, then tried to do the same thing in Buffalo (and failed), and now he's trying to do the same thing in Miami (and failing). What the hell? Why don't they have Culpepper huck the ball downfield? It's inexplicable. I think Mularkey was the same guy who told David Ortiz to hit for singles when he played for the Twins.

Twins on TV for me tomorrow. I can even watch the game on WGN if I find myself not poking my fingers through my ear drums. I suspect it will be a win-the-game-but-still-lose-the-division event. Well, I really hope they win 1 out of 3 versus She-Cago.

Aw crap! I forgot the Twins game was on. I just agreed to go the zoo tomorrow.

Oh well, I guess I better spend time with family now. Lord knows this next month I'm going to be glued to the TV.

Jeter goes 3 for 3 today. Hitting .345 v, Mauer's .346. Joe's gonna need at least one hit on Sunday. Yanks have best record sewn up but I bet they give Jeter a chance.

So MLB.com lists Baker as today's starter, but Twinsbaseball.com lists Silva. Who would you choose?

I'd probably go with Silva today.
