• The Tigers evened the series with the Yanks today. That was a big deal, not only because they have wrested home field advantage from the Bombers, but for their own confidence. Beating the Yanks three times is a tough proposition, but it's not impossible. Joel Zumaya can bring it. Verlander is a great young pitcher. Now, it's Kenny Rogers. If the Twins can't win the World Championship, my team is Detroit.

• I watched a little of the Wild's opening game. That Slavic line of Demitra, Gaborik, and Radivojevic looks very good. With Dupuis, Walz, and Bouchard on secondary lines, this team looks like it can put the puck in the net a lot more often. During this long cold Timberwolves winter, from time to time I'll have to be the SPG (Stick and Puck Guy).

• What does my brother Putzer have in common with me? I mean besides parents, height, various features, etc. and so forth? His wife is pregnant, too. She's due within two weeks of Lucy. If the kids are born really close together, my brother The Mayor and I will have something in common. Putzer and The Mayor have sons that are 10 hours apart in age. Putzer and I also have three first cousins that are expecting right at this moment.

• Jim Caple with a nice column on Brad Radke. There's nothing new in the article for Twins fans, but Caple gets the word out on our guy: "The Anti-Pavano, Radke takes the mound in Game 3 with the only big league team he's ever known down 0-2 to the Athletics and on the brink of elimination. He has a torn right labrum. He has a stress fracture in the same shoulder. His arm hurts with every pitch. Heck, it hurts enough that he avoids lifting his children. But no matter. With such an important game, Radke will pitch as long as he can even if it requires duct tape.

You think Curt Schilling's Game 6 start in 2004 ALCS was impressive? Hey, at least his right arm wasn't broken."

If the Twins can come back and win this series, it's going to start with Brad Radke. Why the Hell not!?

• I had a much better post ready, but at the last minute the keyboard sliced away from me and all I'm left with is half-baked crap.

What'll you have?

This has probably been mentioned, but I've been steering clear of this place due to the tape/watch after work schedule the past two games. If the Twins do survive tomorrow where do we watch our boys on Saturday?

4:00 p.m. - FX: Game 4, MIN @ OAK

Some of the best TV on TV is on FX, mind you.

Did I hear anyone say "second-rate citizens?" Commissioner? Was that you?

I think I heard that the potential Game 5 is tentatively scheduled on Oxygen.

Remember a few years ago when they were playing on the ABC Family channel?

I've got a buddy in Frankfurt who is avoiding any media so he can tape and catch up later. Gotta avoid that AL column in the Suddeutsche Zeitung y'know.

Maybe this will distract Mr. Big Hurt today.

Does any one really believe SBG's original deleted post wasn't filled with half-baked crap?
