Tomorrow there will be another installment of Better Know a Citizen! Be sure to come back to check that out!
It'll be tough to make it as good as the last one.
We'll see. That was a tough act to follow.
Nice picture of your favorite girls. The pictures of mother/child are among my favorite pictures of my son (along with the ones of him and the Schnauzer).
I have that picture right in front of me at my desk all day long.
Is it a handsome Schnauzer, SBG?
Scot's Schnauzer? I don't know, I've never seen it.
Is the picture facing backwards on your desk?
I was just thinking it was time for some new gratuitous baby pictures. And we got Mrs. SBG as a bonus.
Does anyone think there's anything to the rumors of the Orioles being interested in Tom Kelly as manager? I guess it wouldn't surprise me if the Orioles have interest, but it would very much surprise me if the interest was mutual. Any thoughts?
Well, if he's ever going to manage again, I would imagine that he'd work for Andy MacPhail. I would be surprised...
I'd become and Orioles fan pretty quickly with TK managing. If nothing else for the post-game quotes.
Yeah, I'd love to see him get all "warm and fuzzy" with the East Coast writers.
I suppose that's due to
McFail'sMcPhail's presence. I'd like to see it happen for a couple of reasons: One, to see Big Papi wreak extra havoc on the O's staff and two, to see if the curmudgeonly Kelly could ever match Earl Weaver's famous radio show melt-down.Caution: rated 50 Scotch bonnet peppers for language!!!

There's been a lowestcommondenominatorguy sighting.
I hate that guy
Good stuff.
It must be nice to have your very own agent provocateur. But I guess you have to be the chief executive of a Nation to get that kind of privilege.
I didn't actually sign an executive order or anything.
I'm a plumber. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
Harry Tuttle, is that you?
"Listen, this old blog of yours could be on fire and I couldn't even turn on the kitchen tap without filling out a 27b/6... Bloody paperwork."
That's "Buttle"
btw, Brazil got consideration for RR's favorite movie.
And what the heck is up with Gleeman not posting today? It's Friday, dagnabit. I need my cheesecake links!
Damned Gleeman. I wrote the game log for tonight's game and I took a swipe at him in it. Hope he doesn't pull my link!
I don't want to brag or anything, but I'm the man behind this Deadspin post
was that before or after the Rolling Rock, Andrew?
That was about 9:30. I bought the RR about 11 after I went to the DOT for my new license, but I was "responsible" and didn't start drinking it until lunch. Who do you think I am, some alcoholic who drinks with his Peanut Butter Crunch. (which, BTW, is way better than Crunchberries and this point is not debatable.)
Crunchberries shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Peanut Butter Crunch!
When I lived in Cedar Rapids, where they make lots o' cereal, the whole town would often smell like Crunchberries, especially on warm, humid mornings. I seldom even had to eat breakfast, I could just breathe it instead.
Having been in Cedar Rapids many-a-times, I know what you're talking about. I usually have gotten Quaker Oats wafting in, though, not Crunchberries.
those are improvements over SPAM (Spamtown) and turkey poop (Northfield), but perhaps not over Malt-o-Meal (Northfield).
Andrew, as a cold cereal conossuier (and someone who can't spell "conossuier"), I highly recommend the new Chocolate Chex. Although Chocolate Crunch Life was a noble attempt, the Chex gets the nod for the fine chocolate taste.
Why can't you simply enjoy Peanut Butter Crunch without impinging on the good name of Crunchberries?
FWIW, Count Chocula is the ultimate cereal experience.
another fine cereal choice. typically, I prefer mixing my cereals, though.
Mike Maroth to the Cardinals. that's an upgrade over Tomo Okha, I guess.
Tigers get a PTBNL. Wow. That seems pretty cheap. The current average starter line in the Majors is 270/332/428 and 4.47 ERA. Maroth this year: 319/387/563 and 5.06 in 78.3 innings. So he's been getting hammered and lucky (6.41 FIP, 5.75 xFIP).
Gritty Darin Erstad, just off the DL and activated today. Already out with an injury in the top of the first. I think he pulled a neck muscle watching Soriano and Ramirez jack balls out off of Buerhle.
Must be an old football injury. You do know he played college football, don't you?
