The Twins were shut out 5-0 by the Toronto Blue Jays in the first game of a four game series in Minneapolis.
The Twins fell back into 3rd place, 9 games behind the division leading Detroit Tigers and a 1/2 game behind Chicago.
The Game Log had 234 posts.

There's still time...don't give up hope people!
They're 9 games out, no way they can take the division. It's all about the wild card now. With Liriano out that doesn't look good either.
I'll be happy just to finish in front of the Bitch Sox. Free Matt Garza!
I'm pretty sure that come 2007, Garza will be in the starting rotation from the beginning of the season. Let's face it, what other options do the Twins have? It's not like they are going to sign Roger Clemens, and goodness knows that they learned from the Cubanista disaster, so it's not like the carcasses of Sidney Ponson or Ramon Ortiz will be brought in.
Runny Hernandez could be available, I'd like the Twins to take a pass at him, see if RA can make him care enough to try. (Donuts for every 1-2-3 inning?) I think he needs a change of location out of KC, and Dayton Moore doesn't re-sign him. I'm thinking minor-league contract, $500K-$1M sort of range.
At least we know we don't have to worry about third base. Nick Punto will be a star for years.
I'm just excited for our bullpen next year. Neshek is breaking out, and Crain and Rincon are already two of the most reliable set-up men in the game! If they stay healthy, and Reyes remains unhittable, then we can probably afford to include Guerrier in a trade for some more depth at the DH spot. Although the way Rondell is hitting now, we may finally have the DH we have been looking for for years!
This thread makes me sad.
We laugh to avoid crying.
*wipes tears* It's not working.
It's brought a smile to my face. You can't win 'em all and at a time like this a little reminiscing back on a season that is on the short list of greatest regular seasons ever ain't a bad thing, I don't think.
