The Twins won the third game of a three game series 7-3 against the ChiSox, taking the series 2-1. Johan Santana improved to 15-5 with a 3.03 ERA (look, his ERA is down this year, and after yesterday's masterpiece, all systems are go), pitching seven innings and allowing just one run with 5 Ks and no walks. Torii Hunter hit his seventeenth home run of the season.
With the win, the Twins pulled to within 6.5 games of Detroit, who lost to Texas and within one game of the ChiSox for the Wild Card lead.
The Game Log had 89 posts. The old ISP was down for most of the day.
