Pat Neshek will be shut down for the rest of the season because of weakness in his shoulder that has led to an inflamed ligament near his elbow.

"to an inflamed ligament near his elbow"
Is this statement terrifying to anyone else after our experience with Liriano last year?
Yep, that was my first thought.
It was first said that weakness in Liriano's shoulder led to forearm/elbow pain...which, as you know, led to the TJ surgery.
If this is a serious deal, I guess you can add "relief pitcher" to the list of needs for this upcoming offseason.
Yeah, us dummies here that were screaming that he be shut down a while back didn't know anything.
Who knows his team better than the manager, dummy?
Oh, hey... nice blog.
What's with these young guys trying to show how tough they are and play through injuries? If they're hurt, they should just tell the manager they can't play. No one would criticize them for that, would they?
Good one, Jeff.
the elusive FW!
you are welcome to bump any/all of my scheduled vids over the next 2 weeks, dude.
