Watched the Twins/Tigers highlights at ESPN's website; who the heck is "Ryan" Bartlett?

Nice blog.
Heh.
and the NHL has been a shining example of PR success over the last decade. Be afraid, America. Be very afraid.
Ouch.
If I were Fabiani or Lehane, I'd leave that tidbit off my resume.
It's Tuesday, and that means BKAC at 10AM. Today's entry is a map expander, for sure!
What this blog needs is more cowbell.
I got a fever...
What's that sound coming out of the Bay Area? It sounds like...a THUD!
Nellie, no doubt, is thrilled.
Good luck with that, Nellie.
What's the over/under for THUD's games on the DL.
Anybody hear anything more about the Milton Bradley situation? The umpire in question, Mike Winters, was working behind the plate at the Dome the night Cirillo got his 12th inning bloop single vs. Toronto to win the game back in late June. He's the guy who called Torii out at home plate when the catcher managed to tag the batting glove hanging from Hunter's pocket, and then quickly tossed Gardy when he came out and argued the call (which replays showed was correct). The Bradley incident has prompted plenty of talk about the quality and attitudes of MLB umpires, and I have to say that we've seen our share of bad umpiring in the past two or three years. Not really enough for it to be a major issue, but enough for it to be noticeable, IMO. But I do have to pass this one along, from The Debriefing column on FanHouse:
In particular, I remember one instance in Seattle, where the HP ump was following Cuddyer back to the dugout after a called third strike, and Gardy came out and got tossed. Overall, I'll take the officiating in baseball over basically any other sport, but there's always room for improvement.
