Here's a song that celebrates SBG's favorite band. 1976
and here's a link that won't be for everyone, but has it's attractions (it's Jeff-safe, but is built around imagery that wont' amuse everyone)

As campy as a lot of Queen material is, I've always liked the sounds that Brian May got out of his guitar.
Interesting cover of "I Want to Break Free", brian. Here's another Queen cover (also featuring a guy with a funny mustache): The Vandals Don't Stop Me Now.
cover? that's a John Deacon/Queen song, dude.
that was an...interesting...and entertaining Vandals "video". thx. Although he should have gone with tights rather than the shorts, I think.
cover? that’s a John Deacon/Queen song, dude.
I knew that, sir. I was just playing along with the gag - Adolf covering Queen.
now, that's an image.
E-6, do you ever get the sense that we are the only ones in the Rec Room here at the WGOM Estate?
I do batch watchings in the Music category, so I don't get it done every day. I'm pretty sure there are several others checking in, though.
I just want to be loved. Is that soooo wron-guh?!
I can't remember, did Harvey Fierstein ever actually say that, or did Lovitz just put words in his mouth?
fantastic 'lost classic' by Queen
I love 'Somebody To Love' and 'You're My Best Friend'
Queen on SNL, 1982. Wow.
SBG embeds...
Freddie Mercury was a fantastic talent. What presence.
Compare FM with this:
At least Axl didn't attempt "Somebody to Love"...
For my money, Queen's finest LP is Sheer Heart Attack. It is a rocker in the truest sense. They had really fine stuff on their records up through The Game. After that, it just went south, with a few notable exceptions.
Nice find on the SNL bit, bS. And, yeah, sometimes I do feel like you and I are the only ones in the rec room. As long as the neighbors don't complain about the volume, it's all good.
I'm not much of an Axl Rose fan, but that was cool. There's something very powerful about participatory stadium rock.
