Bonus coverage: Padres at Rockies

Posted by brianS on Monday, October 1st, 2007 at 6:38 pm

Emergency intervention here. Jake Peavy (19-6, 2.36 ERA, .203 BAA, 234:64 K:BB) vs Josh Fogg (10-9, 4.79 ERA, .289 BAA, 89:57 K:BB).

In the interests of finding a Safeco-like comment about Fogg, he went 6 2/3 shutout innings his last start, Sept. 26 at the Dodgers.

The highest BA in the Padres' lineup is Josh Bard's .283. Yikes.

The only Rockie position player with a lower BA is catcher Torrealba's .256.

Used to go to MaidRite in Minnetonka. Not really sure what's behind the MaidRite technology, but would guess it involves multiple boilings of ground beef. Coupla Maids, and a lime phosphate or such. Great meatery.
