Slightly off topic, but can anybody walk me through the steps of importing a historical season into OOTP Baseball? I don't even have the Lahman Database downloaded yet, but I would love to go back and take over the Twins in 1961 and see how my future shakes out.
Are you using OOTP 6.5 or OOTP 2007?
You'll have to define Strat-O-Matic fan. I played a couple 56-game seasons at work back in 1986/1987, and nothing since, but loved the game. Much of the "enhancements" we added to the game were incorporated by Strat-O-Matic not long afterwards.
Moss has a couple old sets...
Moss didn't think/know you were into that, SBG.
I'm going to be playing the '86 series with other bloggers at sportingnews.com. I'll be writing about it in the near future.
I had a baseball board game back in the early '70s, but it did not involve player cards AFAIK. (although it included dice and apparently played much like Strat-o-matic). Was there a S-o-m Jr. or something?
When I was younger, I used to play Strat-O-Matic by the hour. I would still do that if I had the time, but sadly, I don't. Maybe in a couple of years.
