last day in academia for bS. I'm gonna be a pointy-headed bureaucrat instead. Word to JeffA: multiple f-bombs are dropped.

And here's a link to the video of my job interview with the state of California.
Something you want to see? Call the request line.
Did you miss a video or want to watch one again from a while back? Click here for the SBG Music Archive.

First Avenue nightclub set their one day record for alcohol sales the first time David Allen Coe played the club. Shattered the previous mark, even though the show was far from sold-out.
P.S. Congrats on the new gig, bS. You'll make a fine pointy-headed administrator.
Please tell me you aren't going to work for the DMV.
Say hi to the Governator! Tell him that "I'll be back!"
You're leaving a job in academia to work in bureaucracy? Isn't that like leaving a nice suburban townhouse to go live in a dumpster? Also, why has my request for Tool gone unfulfilled? Also, why haven't you picked a number?
Lucky 13, of course.
I guess I'll have to see whether I can remember how to log into my SBG mail account.
Hold onto your Tool, GH. I'll get to you.
Good luck with the adminstrating! Your students will likely miss you, though. Just remember, if it seems like something Bill Bavasi would do, I strongly advise you to reconsider your position on the matter.
Best wishes in the new job.
Thanks to all. Don't worry. I'm not in a position to actually make consequential decisions. It's a policy analysis job. So I'll be advising decision-makers, some of whom might actually listen. Hide the women and children! Sell California state bonds short!
My students will miss me mostly because I was an easy grader. My lectures, prolly not so missed, as I usually aimed over their heads (hoping to get them to look up occasionally).
