2007-08 Game 66: Los Angeles Clippers @ Minnesota T-Wolves

<GreekHouse>I haven't got a whole lot to say at this point. From the Twolves perspective, this season is really starting to drag. From an NBA perspective, the season is getting really exciting!</GreekHouse>

The most amazing thing about this season has been the 22-game run by the Rockets. The second longest streak in league history, the last 10 games done without the benefit of Yao Ming. And they're not just winning games, they're clobbering teams. They've won 31 of their last 33 games. To think that less than two months ago, their record stood at 24-20. They now lead the West at 46-20!

Like I said, amazing...

Remarkable indeed. I left them for dead when Yao went down, but somehow they're still kicking ass!

That's the best story in a season of fantastic stories. A decade's worth of blockbuster trades, Boston and LA are championship contenders, nine teams may win 50 games in the West, and Miami absolutely imploded. This is the best NBA regular season I can remember.

It's kind of crazy that with all of the blockbuster trades that Houston (without a blockbuster trade) could turn out to be the best team in the land even after essentially dumping their best player.

you mean getting rid of Bonzi doesn't count as a blockbuster?

or howsabout that Gerald Green deal?

Yeah, Gerald Green, he was a difference maker for the Rockets.

without releasing Gerald Green, they wouldn't have had a spot for Mike Harris.

Anyone else's BS detector going off listening to Jim Pete and Hanny talk about how teams shouldn't tank (ahem, this team did it the last two seasons).

Yeah, I liked how Pete says that there's no correlation between being the worst team and getting the best pick. Ummm...there are 16 teams guaranteed not to get the first pick in next years draft and the team with the worst record isn't one of them. In fact, 4 times out of 23 years in the lottery is actually a pretty high percentage. It's a little less than you'd expect, but pretty close for such a small sample size. So yeah, the correlation isn't 100%, but it's pretty damn high.

Apparently, nobody in the organization got the "tanking memo." Woofs win again, 99-90.

What are they thinking?!!

Even when we win, we lose.

Gaah! I just ran the ESPN Lottery Generator and Mock Draft. The Wolves fell to 4th and took Nickoloz Tskitishvili DeAndre Jordan!!!
