1991 Homer Hanky

1991 Homer Hanky

Personal notes:

  • Thought I'd introduce the series of homer hankies to the Twins Propaganda section of the SBG Library. What better than a reminder of the Worst-to-First 1991 Twins as we start out a new (closer to "worst" than "first") season?
  • The third Twins homer hanky introduced by the Trib, the 1991 version returned to the baseball outline used in 1987, with the addition of "Twins" script added to it.
  • I don't remember if I had my homer hanky in time for the World Series in 1991 or not.  Unlike more recent hankies with on-line ordering, I had to depend on the kindness of brother(s) to get one here in St. Louis.

Please drop an email to SBGLibrary (at) hotmail (dot) com if you have a suggestion or a submission for the SBG Library.

I had the 1991 Homer Hanky and was waving it furiously at Game 1 of the World Series at the "HHH" as well as in my apartment in Fargo during the other games.

I've pointed out to my wife that our next move is destined to be Atlanta. We lived in Los Angeles (Twins' 1965 WS opponents) when the Twins played the Cardinals in '87, and here in St. Louis when the Twins played the Braves in '91. Of course, no telling when the Twins are in the World Series next, so we might be living here in St. Louis for quite some time yet.

Sounds like they are waiting for you to move.

I can't remember how we got our '91 Homer Hankies. We were living in Cedar Rapids at the time. I think the wife drove to Mlps to pick them up (and visit her family), but I could be wrong. I know we did have them for the Series, though.
