Remind me again where the nickname came from?
E-6 replied on April 22, 2008 at 9:03:23 am
During a game-log last season when Baker was pitching particularly well, Twayn said something to the effect of "When did the Twins sign this Walter Johnson kid?' I responded, 'Big Train? More like light rail.' Score it E-6 with Twayn on the assist.

That was a gift that keeps on giving, E-6. I'm disappointed that Shooter or Top Jimmy or somebody hasn't picked it up yet.

I really do get a kick out of the whole 'pitchers eating innings' thing thats going on.
How are the pitchers doing compared to thier preseason predictions?
ubelmann replied on April 22, 2008 at 3:55:41 pm
It's probably worth waiting until they have about 10 starts in their bellies before we start comparing them to their predictions. With this few starts, the lineups that they face can have a reasonably large impact on their numbers. (For instance, teams like LA and KC aren't going to strike out nearly as much as Detroit, but they probably aren't going to hit for as much power, either.)
