Cup of Coffee Wolves lose again by 22, Kevin Love down to 17 minutes. This is the worst possible situation for the Wolves. They are driving what is left of their fan base with a tremendous stretch of terrible basketball. Their best, or second-best, player has checked out and is getting buried on the bench. What a great business! If my customers don't buy my goods/services, it's their fault.
As I was looking over the small-ish crowd for a Sunday Yankee game the first thought in my mind was that the "premium" pricing was coming back to bite the Twins.
I also noticed that on the radio, whenever a Yankee player got a big hit, there was a lot of cheering. Their fans are everywhere.
The reaction to Yankee plays is always bigger, but it is usually a combination of Yankee fans cheering and Twins fans booing, particularly when the player in question was a certain Cap'n.
I think Yankee fans also tend to go for the high priced tickets, which puts them closer to the radio announcer booth. So their placement sort of skews perception for listeners.
