well, technically, this is Level 42, with a Mark King solo. Always a fixture at Princes Trust concerts, he's got to be one of the nicest guys out there in the pop world, and a mighty fine singer as well.
btw, there are several performances by girl singers that I enjoy, but I haven't found a worthwhile video (or the initiative to submit) for:
Elevator Love Letter by Stars
Soul Rendezvous by Lynn Maas
Captain Nemo by Sarah Brightman
Waiting for a Star to Fall by Boy Meets Girl
Missing by Everything But the Girl
Fast Car by Tracy Chapman
etc. etc. etc.
hey, what do I know? I'm just trying to keep the people happy.
so, is the song "Mr. Pink"? I know nothing about this group.
Check out "Something About You" sometime; you know this group, you just don't know it.
This sounds like "chase music" from a bad 80's action flick.
Why do I have to be Mr. Pink?
That's not the whole band, is it? Thought it was just King while solo (though I've heard the band in some form is back together now).
Yes, it is, and the band is together again -- their latest (Retroglide) is a good one. I particularly like "Rooted" off that CD.
