GM Souhan says we should have traded Liriano for Beltre. Thoughts, anyone? If Buscher was stinking up the joint at third I'd say sure, but I don't know if I think it would improve the team by more than a win. And adding Liriano and subtracting Livan may add up to more than one win.
I'll take that on this weekend when I do my round up, but suffice it to say that such a column written after the deadline is BS. Write the column five days before the deadline and be a man.
I concur. Hopefully, if we make the playoffs on the back of Liriano he'll be a man and eat some crow.
It's a "made for controversy take". I have my own doubts about how effective Liriano will be when he returns and how "coachable" he is, but I think if there was a physical problem, the other scouts would be all over it making a fleecing less likely.
