Canadian collective at the Kool Haus, Toronto, 2006. The camera work is shaky (and the sound a bit dodgy, too), but man alive--this stuff is like a Rock and Roll Party!
J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr) adds his sonic touch to the festivities. Same song a few months later at Olympic Island, Toronto.

Excellent choice.
Has anyone listened to the newest part of the "Broken Social Scene Presents" series? Co-founder Brenden Canning is featured on this disc. It is called Something for All of Us.
I haven't listened to it yet but plan on picking it up soon.
I haven't either. The few reviews I've read have been luke-warm.
Do you have the Kevin Drew one? Had that in my hand at the store last winter(and ended up putting it back.)
The Kevin Drew one is phenomenal. I reccomend getting it as soon as you get the chance. After I posed the above comment I began downloading the said Brenden Canning album. So far it has a lot more "Feel Good Lost" than any of the other BSS albums.
After I am done listening to it I will fill you in.
But in the meantime, get "Spirit If..." You will be pleased.
"Something For All of Us" defintly has a "Feel Good Lost" feel. The standout track, IMO, is "Churches Under The Stairs". If you are a BSS fan you should check it out either way.
I also reccomend the band By Divine Right, Brendan Canning used to be a member of them and they are a pretty fun, basic , ball out, rock and roll group.
A couple weeks back New Guy called the Go! Team the most exciting band he knew. To paraphrase a classic Phil Hartman bit, "BSS has chunks of bands like the Go! Team in their stool."
I recently made mention of the official video on my blog. If that isn't one of the coolest music videos ever, I don't know what is (then again, BSS, Feist, and company all make tremendous videos with surprising frequency).
Nice. I hadn't seen that one--though you're spot-on about that crew making arresting videos.
I've brought it up before, but Feist fans owe it to themselves to seek out some of her live bootlegs. She roughs up the edges a bit--a good thing--and her between song banter is charming as hell. I actually listen to those more than I listen to her "official" releases. Two that were pretty readily available were Live at Park West and Les Black Sessions-Studio 105(Paris.) There's also some KRCW live in-studio tracks floating about, as well.
EDIT: This link is good for Park West. ("Secret Heart" and "Let it Die" are absolute gold.)
