Oh, no — not the Jimmy Kimmel factor.

I've despised Jay Leno ever since the whole Letterman kerfuffle. This could surely add some gas to my own personal fire. However, there is a sliver lining to this dark cloud, as found in the recent ratings and viewing habits for Nightline. 'Nightline' at risk if Leno jumps to ABC.

I've despised Jay Leno ever since he made fun of Kerri Strug's sprained ankle (and I didn't care all that much for Strug). I guess all the late night hosts are mean spirited to a point, but Leno is probably the worst. Or maybe I just don't find him funny.
I've never liked Leno. Not as a stand-up comedian, not as host of The Tonight Show, not as a human being. When I was producing news at KARE-TV, the network was asking affiliates to set up interview segments with him in local newscasts (I think his ratings had been slipping at the time). So we set it up, and it was one of the worst segments ever. He obviously didn't want to be doing the satellite tour, he was rude and obnoxious, and all he did was make lame jokes putting down Minnesota and the Twin Cities. The man has no class in my book.
