Apparently, the Governator hasn't really made common cause with his fellow republicans in the CA legislature, since he has yet to learn their names.

[note: not part of the cited article, but this is a quote from an email alert I received from the SacBee about the story] After the vote, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger met separately with members of both the Assembly Democratic caucus and the Assembly Republican caucus.

Last week, Assembly GOP leader Mike Villines said, "Some of my guys want to meet him for the first time,"

He wasn't kidding.

Name tags were distributed for the GOP lawmakers before the governor's arrival.

2 years, $17.5M, reportedly, with options and stuff, plus they give up a first-round pick to Colorado. Last year, league average ERA for a relief pitcher was 4.09. Marcel the Monkey projects Fuentes to have a 3.69 FIP next year. Probably an overpay, but there's plenty of upside.
