Missed opportunity?

Shaun Livingston is on his way back to the NBA, having signed with Miami.

"It came down to Miami and Minnesota," said Livingston's agent, Henry Thomas, who also represents Wade. "And he was more comfortable there."

There was a guy who had a shot at being great. I hope he can get back to being a decent NBA player.

Shaun Livingston's knee injury [linked, not embedded because HUGE WARNING it's pretty severe] made me think he might have trouble just walking properly again, much less play basketball. I'm definitely rooting for him to succeed.

I was hoping the Woofs would've signed him, too. Before his gruesome injury, he was developing into one of the best young PGs in the league not named CP3 or Deron. He has a tough road in front of him, but he's only 23. It was a low risk financial gamble with a potentially huge pay off.

Like my Irish pal, I'll be rooting for the guy.
