I'm not really back, but here's my hierarchy of rooting for the playoffs teams:

1. ChiSox - I want to, but I can't hate. They're like an awful sibling. You hate them when you're fighting them, but when they're fighting someone else, you gotta step up onto their side. Please don't make me turn in my "Twins Territory" membership.
2. Rays - If the Central Division rep were the Clevelands or Tigers, they'd be my #1.
3. Brewers
4. Phillies - mostly due to Coste
5. Dodgers - I'm just plain neutral on this team.
6. No one
7. Cubs - I don't root against them, I root for them to lose. Somehow, that's different for me.
8. Angels/ BoSox - Any way they can both lose and the ChiSox face the Rays for the ALCS?

I did not know that Mark DeRosa was a (real) college football player. A QB, not a punter like Darren Grindystad.

err, Vin, if it was a "good bunt", why was he out so easily trying to bunt for a hit?

I love Vin, but that was weird.

The angst level in Chicago the last few days has been astronomical. In the 10 minutes driving into school every morning, the morning show radio hosts are incredulous that a season that went so well for both teams is somehow falling apart. They just can't fathom that the Cubs are getting blown out in Wrigley and the Sox are losing to the perennial bottom-dwellers of the East.

I'm enjoying every minute of it.

This is what happens when a season that lasts 162 games suddenly comes down to three. Every year, "they" seem unable to understand it, but it happens to somebody pretty much every year.

Not a great performance by Kuroda, but hey, no runs allowed.

It's almost over for the teddy bears.

I think it's Steve Bartman's fault.
