I bought that movie just so when I watched Wayne's World, I could say "yes, I have" after Wayne leaves the show and Garth is by himself.
Then I ended up thinking it was a pretty good movie.

From his comments, Ramirez seemed to be handling McCarver's statements quite well. Ramirez' reputation is not one of being particularly smart or classy, but I thought he showed both of those traits here.
