The coffee is late, but still not decaf.

It's time to get this WGOM moving again.

The Phoenix Desert Dogs lost again, falling to Scottsdale 3-2. Tim Lahey worked the eighth inning and took the loss, giving up a run on three hits. Dustin Martin played left field and went 1-for-4. Danny Valencia was the third baseman and took an 0-for-4, striking out twice and grounding into two double plays, which is about as bad a day as you can have at bat. Steven Tolleson was a late-inning defensive replacement and did not bat.
The Mexican Pacific League has opened play. The only Twins player (and I'm not sure he's still with them) I can find on a roster is Danny Graves, who is pitching for Navojoa. He pitched one inning, giving up an unearned run on one hit, in a 13-11 victory over Obregon.
I hope I'm not violating the no-politics rule, but I think the presidential debates would be a lot more interesting if the candidates did this.
that would be funnier if the link were not dead. Can you edit that, JeffA, or repost?
Already done. Try it again.
The problem with that is that the more ignorant the candidate, the more honest he/she would seem.
if you can't tell a convincing lie, you have no bidness running for office.
to quote TV's Craig Ferguson "It's a great day for America!'

The Gophers win a close one (wow, they are Cadiac Kids so far in the Big Ten schedule) AND Michigan loses AT HOME to Toledo
I saw most of the 4th quarter. Wow. The Gophers play football! Who knew?
Now if their safeties would just cover the deep middle on occasion....
They did for the first three quarters. I don't know what happened in the fourth. They were terrible. For the first three quarters, they would let Illinois move up and down the field, but would prevent the big play for the score and held them out of the end zone. Then suddenly in the fourth quarter, the receivers were running free all over the place down the field. I was having horrible flashbacks to blowing a 21-point fourth-quarter lead to Michigan several years ago at the dome.
Do they have a relatively young secondary full of Freshmen and Sophomores? That would explain the let downs in the fourth quarter for me.
Reason number 8313 why I like making beer: My Belgian Pale Ale is getting better by the day sitting in the keg. Yesterday, it was cloyingly sweet. Today, the hops are starting to come out a lot more to balance that out. In a few more days, it'll lost that "green-ness".
Up next: a nice hopped up pale ale to be dry hopped with hopps I haven't decided on yet. Then, the bottling of the schwarzbier shall commence, with possible samples being sent to BrianS for review. (if I think it's pretty good.) I even found a styrofoam bottle package for shipping at work. Since we're shutting the facility down in a couple of months, I don't see why I couldn't take it home with me.
I'm hyperventilating here!
Give me your dry-hopped, your malted, your imperial ales yearning to be free!
I played my first rugby match for Trinity over the weekend. We lost, but we were short players and that was to be expected. Who was there played well. The future looks good if we can get a full squad out there.
do these Irishmen understand the concept of "killing the keg" afterwards, or are they strictly pubcrawlers?
