Quick plug here: USS Mariner is one of the very best baseball blogs out there, and a tremendous amount of what I know about baseball analysis can be traced back to that blog. David Cameron, one of their authors, is up for a scholarship which is apparently being awarded American Idol-style, so if you've ever been over there to see their great work, I suggest taking five seconds to go vote for David Cameron.

Thanks for the heads up ubes. I read USSM from time to time, and have always enjoyed it. When I voted, David was
up by a large margin[EDIT] I see he is now down by a small margin - so go vote.I tried to vote from that link, but was unable. It took me straight to the results.
They seem to be limiting one vote per IP address, so if you're trying to vote from an office or something, someone from your IP address may have already voted.
I couldn't vote here at the office either. some message on the page about comments being closed because of load on the server?
Also, if anyone has way too much time to kill, I point you to the case of Lookout Landing v. Daily Kos.
Holy crap. I really can't believe the comments being thrown around. Wow. Just. Wow.
I occasionally stalk LL, and I can say that they have an .... interesting little culture over there. It seems kind of like what you would get if you locked a bunch of 20-26-year-olds in a bar to converse with each other for 8-10 hours per day. They are on very familiar terms at this point and pretty much anything goes (the one sacred rule being no politics--the one exception being if they are trying to get someone a $10K blogging scholarship and a major political blog starts trying to also influence the outcome--although even then almost all of their political comments in that thread are devoid of real political stance.)
Also, because USS Mariner is pretty straitlaced, likes to stay on topic, and doesn't mind banning people, Lookout Landing has become something like Australia to USS Mariner's England. And I think that the losing and losing stupidly has generally driven them insane.
To arms! To arms!
or as the folks at Daily Kos might say in another context, "Count every vote!"
My suffrage has been denied! I'm thinking about joining the Weather Underground and placing a bomb in a bathroom at the collegescholarships.org website in protest of this travesty.
