This Date in Twins History: April 29

1970 The Twins' Jim Kaat and Stan Williams combined for a 1-0 shutout of the Indians. With two on and two out in the ninth and Ray Fosse due up, Williams relieved Kaat. Fosse had gone 2-for-3 with a double against Kaat. Vada Pinson pinch hit for Fosse, but Tony Horton was picked off second base to end the game and give Williams a save without recording an out. It was not known if Williams threw a pitch.
