After the Twins tied up the game in the eighth inning when Kirby Puckett reached on a two-out error by first baseman Steve Balboni, which allowed three runs to score, the Twins won the game, 4-3, in the 10th inning on Gene Larkin's RBI single. |

Reliever Paul Abbott earned his first major league victory by pitching four shutout innings in relief of starter Mark Guthrie as the Twins rallied from an early 4-1 deficit to defeat the Indians 8-5. |

The Twins' Paul Molitor went 4-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs and was a home run short of the cycle in a 10-1 win over the Rangers. When Molitor came up in the eighth inning with a chance ot complete the cycle, he was walked intentionally with the Indians Rangers trailing 9-1. |

After the Twins scored five runs in the first inning off Greg Maddux, they were held scoreless for 13 consecutive innings until Cristian Guzman's two-double in the 15th inning scored Tom Prince from first base with the winning run in a 6-5 victory. |
| 2004 |
After Jose Offerman's two-out pinch-hit RBI double in the ninth inning tied the game, Mike Ryan's RBI single in the 15th inning won it in a 3-2 Twins victory. |
Tom Prince, Jose Offerman, Mike Ryan being significant contributors on the same day?
Expect results from tonight's 2B.
I'm more surprised Prince scored from first on a double, even if he got a head start.
I'm sure either the "Rangers" or the "Indians" was a typo, but I find it amusing to instead imagine that a blow-out in a different game causes the Rangers to IBB Molitor.
Moss and I went to that 2002 game together. During the game, there was a very strong thunderstorm rolling through Minneapolis and the winds were so strong that the roof was moving, causing the foul screens to bounce up and down.
I was at that game, too. I left before the end of the game and the electricity was out at my house so I couldn't even listen/watch the ending.
Moss remembers it well...
The next night was a wee bit different result, though. Glavine wins, 11-0.
