To answer the question straight up, I will say that I have to be there by 6AM to secure a spot. Last year, I was a little late and got the last decent spot available. (It's like a land rush at 6AM with no reservations.) I set the picnic at 2PM, so I had to sit there by myself for about 5 hours (until Andrew showed up) and by the time we started grilling, I'd been there 8 hours. And then, the whole event went by so fast that it was over before I knew it. So, my plan this year is to start the thing at noon (but you are invited to come earlier!). There you go, trying to mix up trouble.
