WGOM Wellness Challenge 2009-July

Looks like I dropped the ball on this one. I had a pretty busy month of July and forgot about this until just now. I'm out of stuff to write about, so any suggestions for next month would be appreciated. In the meantime, please post your updates below.

  • Alright, I haven't done one of these in a while.

    As a preface: law school and trying to get healthy mix like oil and water. I started strong in february, losing 10 pounds by the end of March, but then finals hit, and I gained 15 pounds back. But, in the last month and a half or so I have started to turn it around. I have lost five pounds again, chiefly through controlling portion sizes, since I still am having issues with my back that are preventing me from running like I would like to. But there are good signs, and I'll take them.

  • I've been pretty much out of the Wellness Challenge because of health reasons. I just went to the chiropractor today to see if my aerobic-induced headaches might be neck-related. I can't even mow my entire lawn without having a pounding headache a few hours later, and forget about the treadmill. If it isn't neck-related (is seems to begin at the base of my neck), then it's probably vascular, and I'll have to get used to the idea of having a nuclear stress test. Not looking forward to that bill, either.

    I lost 10 lbs the week of July 19-26!!!11one11!!!!

    Call it the protozoan diet.

    I'm still plugging away at my routine. I just went and got fitted for a tux recently, and found out my chest has gotten about 4-5 inches bigger in the last six months, so I feel like I must be doing something right.
