He has like 3 or 4 Thomases (from Sets), so his 6yo sister asked for one after the Day Out. She also got a few cars and a few tracks. She doesn't play with it that much, she more displays it.

Someday, we'll buy a bigger house where we can have a train table or just not have to clean up his creations every night. But by then, he'll probably have grown out of them.

The train table and train set are the only toys in his bedroom. Unfortunately, his creative time seems to be bedtime so he always has a train in his hands as he falls asleep.

I loved that phase too, but my boy quit playing with trains seemingly overnight. And the girls, so far, have no interest. We have a large train table and boxes of accessories just gathering dust waiting for someone to show interest.

so, a lot of Crain Wrecks in the AMR household?

I loved the Thomas phase. We had a big (for kids) train table with painted landscape on which to arrange the tracks.

imaginative play is so cool and so key for development. Mrs. S's preschool is verrry big into encouraging the imaginative play thing. I think the kids might get extry credit for coloring outside the lines too.

Enjoy Thomas! We went the first weekend. H had been leaving his trains alone in favor of cars, but now we've got wooden tracks all over the house again. His favorite is Rocky, the Crane engine, but it's a bit frustrating because H always has the other trains derail and call for Rocky's "Help." So H is in his room yelling "Help! Help!" But really it's just Percy ran over the top of a broken bridge and needs Rocky.

FWIW, the Twins site says the game is at 3:10.

My wife and I will be there with our three rugrats, probably early. If we go to the game, we'll sit in GA, because we generally need the space. AuntieWalt will likely bring treats. Looking forward to it.

Spoke with my wife. I will be there for the picnic with my two kids, C (girl, age 6) and H (boy, age 3 1/2). No game for us, though. We'll probably get there a bit early and leave before 2pm. And I'll wear the DePaula jersey.

Hey Boss you should mention parking at Minnehaha. Most of the park is now Patron Parking which means you have to pay for a pass. Most of the parking along Hiawatha is like that and the parking cops are out there in force so you will get a ticket without a pass. Parking along Minnehaha has some pay boxes. Here's a link about MPRB parking. If you are driving to the convention be prepared to pay.
