Feldman v. Pavano
This is a rematch of the game played between the Rangers and Twins last week when Pavano got shelled early only to have His Holiness crush two home runs and lead the Twins to a 9-6 victory. The Twins have been a little roll since then, winning 7 of 9 to crawl back to, yep, .500. However, they are still 4.5 games out of first place heading into play today.
The big news in Twins land today is the acquisition of a pair of relievers in Jon Rauch and Ron Mahay and word that the Twins have won the claim for Rich Harden. I don't know if the acquisition of any of these guys (or the potential acquisition of Harden) will help. Mahay ain't much, Rauch might have a future here, and Harden could be an intriguing rent-a-player. It's clear though, that the Twins Front Office has decided to make a go for it this year. Too bad they didn't make some moves in the off season to shore up that bullpen and maybe add a middle infielder.

Well, I just got done with a little light fixture merry-go-round (I installed a new light/fan in the bathroom last Sunday, moved the chandelier that had been in the bathroom to the fronty entry, moved that start shaped light to eventual nursery, and moved that light to the upstairs hall and added a couple switches).
With that completed, I think I'll head to the liquor store and purchase some beer and then hunker down and gameday the rest of the game. Any shopping suggestions?

It was only a small one! Our bathroom is huge. It is composed on a roughly 11x9' room (for the corner jacuzzi tub and the freshly installed 3x6' shower) with an attached ~6x5' room for our two sinks and toilet. The chandelier actually didn't look too out of place, but it was really annoying to dry off, cause it'd catch the towel.

For those who are interested, I am not that into this Ommegang Abbey Ale. It has a tin taste like I am drinking it out of a can. Don't get me wrong, I am hardly saying it is a drain pour (ha!), it just seems to fall short of the other beers from their brewery.

I got an Ommegang sampling pack on Wednesday with two of each of their beers in the pack. They have been in my fridge since then. This is the second of the two beers and it is a bit more pronounced in this bottle. I am pouring them into this glass. Maybe I just got a bad batch. Who knows? I sure as heck 'aint gonna dump it though.

yah, Omar has had around a half-dozen seasons in which his OPS+ was basically at league average for a SS (100 sOPS+). So, his HOF case is built on the 11 fielding grammies (9 in the AL, 2 in the NL) and his decent BA (.273) and OBP (.339).
I think he's in the Hall of Very Good for his fielding, but doesn't belong in Cooperstown. Still, he should get enough votes to hang around on the ballot for a few years.
