2009 NLDS: Colorado @ Philadelphia, Game 2

Aaron Cook v. Cole Hamels.

The Rockpile would be well-advised to start scoring some runs, or the Phillies will have them in a deep hole.

There was a close play at first that Chase Utley beat out. Oddly, he didn't spread his arms out in a "safe" sign after he crossed the bag.

He'll never be a Yankee with that attitude.

Carlos Gonzalez scored the first run (and had the first overall hit in the postseason). He played for the Yakima Bears in 2004 when I was the mascot. Very cool to see him make it and be in a playoff race; he and Mark Reynolds were my favorite hitters on that team (as well as one guy who stalled in high-A and never moved up from there, but two out of three ain't bad).

Must be convenient for the NL. Any pitcher that's not quite good enough for the AL can become a star.
