Aragua led 7-3 after two and 9-4 after four, but lost to Margarita 12-10. A two-run ninth for Margarita was the difference in the game.

The hitting star for Aragua was Ramon Castro, who hit two home runs and drove in four runs. The Twins' Dustin Martin also homered, went 2-for-5, and scored three times. Catcher Wilson Ramos also went 2-for-5, hitting a double and a home run. Jonathan Goncalves was 1-for-4, collecting a double and driving in two.

The only Twins' hurler to work was Edgar Ibarra, who surrendered a hit to the only man he faced. Each team used eight pitchers, most of whom did not do particularly well. The best was probably Twins prospect Danny Rondon, who pitched 1.2 scoreless innings for Margarita, giving up only a walk.

The hitting star for Margarita was Frank Diaz, who had four hits including a homer and a double, scored four times, and drove in three runs, including driving in the two winning runs in the ninth. Also contributing were Rene Reyes, who had three hits including a homer and a double, and Selwyn Langaigne, who had three hits.
