Robinson Chirinos (Cubs) had three hits including a double and a home run, driving in four runs to lead Magallanes over Aragua 11-7 Tuesday.
Aragua's offense was led by ex-Twin Luis Maza (Dodgers), who had four hits including a double and a home run. Hector Gimenez (Pittsburgh) also had four hits. Ex-Twin Luis Rodriguez (San Diego) homered and scored three times. Among current Twins, Dustin Martin was 2-for-3 with a double and two walks, Wilson Ramos was 1-for-4 with a walk, and Justin Huber was 0-for-4.
On the mound, the only Twins pitcher used was starter Jason Jones, who gave up four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks in 4.2 innings. The losing pitcher was Jesus Delgado (Seattle), who surrendered four runs in only two-thirds of an inning. The winning pitcher for Magallanes was Yoel Hernandez, with Nate Field (Florida) getting a save.
Aragua hosts Zulia tonight.
