It's actually called the AFL Rising Stars Game, but the above name is better. The East scored seven runs in the first inning, but a two-run homer by Matt McBride (Cleveland) capped the West's comeback and gave the West an 8-7 victory.
Brandon Allen (Arizona) hit a three-run homer to lead the East. Rene Tosoni, the only Twin to make the team, went 0-for-2. Yonder Alonso (Cincinnati) had three hits and drove in two runs for the West.
Mike Minor (Atlanta) gave up all seven first-inning runs. The winning pitcher for the West was Michael Dunn (Yankees), with Craig Kimbrel (Atlanta) getting the save. Drew Storen (Washington) took the loss for the East.
The next Solar Sox game is Monday afternoon, when they host Scottsdale.

Unbelievable! I turned off the TV with a laugh after the seven runs in the top of the first.
