A two-run single by Justin Huber capped a three-run first as Aragua took a 6-2 victory over Lara. The win was Aragua's third straight and moved the Tigres into fifth place.
Ex-Twin Luis Maza led the Aragua attack with three hits, including a double, and two runs. The single was Huber's only hit; he was 1-for-5. Wilson Ramos was used as a pinch-hitter for the DH and batted twice, going 1-for-2 with an RBI.
No Twins pitchers were used in the game. Omar Poveda (Texas) got the win, going 3.1 innings and giving up only an unearned run on two hits. The loss went to Lara starter Richard Castillo (St. Louis), who gave up three runs in only one-third of an inning.
Aragua travels to Lara this afternoon.
