Cup of CoffeeWolves lose again by 22, Kevin Love down to 17 minutes. This is the worst possible situation for the Wolves. They are driving what is left of their fan base with a tremendous stretch of terrible basketball. Their best, or second-best, player has checked out and is getting buried on the bench. I doubt that Love is in their long term plans. How's that O.J. Mayo deal looking now? Citizens Online21 Users Online WGOM Sign InLog InRetired WGOM Jokes

I thought for a second the headline was "Cactus Reminder".
PRICKly
Who's all going? What is this? Should I attend?
1) At least SBG, Me, E-6, New Guy, Banjo, possibly AMR, freealonzo, and Algonad
2) A gathering of Citizens
3) 100% without a doubt yes
In.
Consider me RSVP-ed.
Everyone should attend, if they can. I have found these events to always be fun.
To answer the question more directly, we're gonna have a beer or two, grab a sandwich and visit.
I'll be there before heading to the Wolves game.
Hey Boss, sometime you should have a caucus during Festivus. Then we could have an SBG-themed airing of grievances and feats of strength!
Not a bad idea... you will bring the aluminum pole, right?
i concur with this opinion. there needs to be a caucus during festivus so the rest of us might be able to attend.
Well played. A Festivus Caucus "for the rest of us".
Any chance Sparrow will be there?
I think there's a very, very good chance he's still alive, which means that the chances of him being there > 0. However, he was only 17, so if he shows up, Banjo will have to make him some pancakes and take them outside to him.
@New Guy: How's Movember going? I plan on my mustache's first public appearance being the WGOM Caucus.
I'm still growing strong, but there's not a whole lot to say about it after the first week. Going a week without shaving is pretty much the norm for me, so I just look like my usual unkempt self at this point.
Also, are you doing just a mustache? I was planning on going for the full coverage.
I'm going with a full beard this winter and have a week's growth surrounding the goatee.
My last foray into a beard didn't work out so well. I am wary of just a mustache as well because 1) I'll look like a pedophile, or 2) I'll look like a hipster. I'm not sure which is worse.
I've been without a mustache very infrequently over the last three decades; just too much real estate above the upper lip. But I always have a winter beard. The trick is to keep it trimmed on the neck and cheeks -- there's a very fine line between "growing a beard" and "lazy".
The good thing is, at some point "lazy" turns into Billy Gibbons (or at least that's what I tell myself). Beyond keeping the neckbeard at bay I haven't shaved since I went on terminal leave about a month before I was discharged.
These days, I'm not so far from Billy Gibbons status.
That's awesome. I can't get beyond the stage where it's long enough to really start snarling without regular brushing. I'll get to a certain point, get frustrated, and trim it back to a shorter variation on George Bernard Shaw's look. One of these days...
I keep mine trimmed at the lowest setting. I want to keep the windchill off and line my jaw; any length would just make me look even older (not like the gray on the chin doesn't already do that)
I'm fortunate in that "lazy" and "growing a beard" work pretty well together, as mine blends in pretty well in the neck area. I'l still trim it though, just in case I think it looks different than everyone else thinks it does.
Of course, the real question is whether I let the chin part keep growing. I did that two winters ago, got it to about 2 - 3 inches from my chin, which was awesome.
a pedophile...hipster
Humbert Humbert.
I think I'm coming.
Sister in law A gave her car back to sister in law B. Now, carless me* is depending upon carless A borrowing newly carred B's car out of its parking garage in uptown and then driving downtown to give me the car and taking the bus to my house. Then when I'm done, she will drive back to uptown or something. I think I've asked them to coordinate an invasion of Cuba.
*My wife does have a car, but she needs it tomorrow night.
I'm in! The sisters-in-law have shown Fidel the what-for!
I'm leaning towards showing up, but how would I know who to look for...?
That's me.
Unfortunately, I will not be wearing my game-used Julio dePaula #51 jersey.
Look for a motley crew of guys then listen for the words "Punto sucks!"
Remember, 'Zo looks a lot like Clem Haskins, I look like a 2 1/2 year-old, the Boss looks like the Boss. I'll recognize you as soon as you walk in, Mulder.
You guys don't mind if I'm 4-5 drinks into the night by the time you get there, do you?
Well, it was fun until New Guy dropped the bottle of tequila he snuck into the place and got us all kicked out.
At least he showed up this time.
Thank you all for coming tonight, it was a good time.
Please tell me that actually happened...
