Jason Pridie's four hits weren't enough as Aragua lost to Zulia 8-5 Thursday night.
Gerardo Parra (Arizona) went 3-for-5 with a double to lead Zulia. Juan Camacho drove in three runs. For Aragua, Pridie's 4-for-5 raised his average to .500 (11-for-22). Ex-Twin Luis Rodriguez (Cleveland) went 3-for-3. Dustin Martin was 2-for-5 with a double and a run, Wilson Ramos was 2-for-5 with an RBI, and Yangervis Solarte was 0-for-5, although he did score once.
Erick Arteaga was the winning pitcher for Zulia, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings with two strikeouts. Chris Hernandez threw a perfect ninth for his fourteenth save. Wilfredo Ledezma (Pittsburgh) took the loss for Aragua.
Aragua goes to Magallanes tonight.
