Jhon Garcia gave up one run on three hits in five innings as Aragua beat Margarita 5-1 Saturday. The win was the Tigres' fifth in six games.
Ex-Twin Alex Romero (Houston) was 3-for-5 with a double to lead the Aragua offense. Hector Gimenez (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run. Yangervis Solarte was 2-for-5, and Wilson Ramos went 1-for-2 with three walks.
Garcia struck out four in getting the win. Abe Woody (Arizona) contributed 3.1 shutout innings. Tim Harikkala took the loss for Margarita. Danny Rondon faced two batters for Margarita, walking one and retiring the other.
Aragua plays in Margarita again tonight.
