Ex-Twin Alex Romero (Houston) had three hits and scored four times to lead Aragua to an 11-3 victory over Margarita Sunday. The victory was the Tigres' third straight and sixth in seven games.
Ex-Twin Luis Maza (Dodgers) also had three hits for Aragua. Hector Gimenez (Pittsburgh) and Martin Prado (Atlanta) each had two hits, with Gimenez driving in four runs and Prado three. Among Twins' prospects, Yangervis Solarte was 2-for-6 and Wilson Ramos was 0-for-5.
Ex-Twin Yohan Pino got the win, giving up two runs on five hits and striking out eight in 5.1 innings. Carlos Monasterios (Dodgers) took the loss. Danny Rondon pitched the fifth inning for Margarita, giving up a run on two hits.
Aragua now has two days off. The Tigres' next game will be Wednesday night, when they travel to Lara.
