Aragua took a 4-0 lead early but couldn't hold it, losing to Caracas 10-4 Tuesday.
Caracas was led by Jose Lobaton (Tampa Bay), who went 3-f0r-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored, and two RBIs. Chris Gimenez (Cleveland) was 2-for-4, also with a double, a home run, two runs scored, and two RBIs. Aragua was led by ex-Twin Luis Rodriguez (Cleveland), who was 3-for-4. Ronny Cedeno (Pittsburgh) contributed a two-run homer. Wilson Ramos was 1-for-4, Yangervis Solarte was 0-for-4, and Jonathan Goncalves went 1-for-1 as a pinch hitter.
Ronald Uviedo (Pittsburgh) pitched only 0ne-third of an inning, but he pitched it at the right time and was credited with the win. Yorman Bazardo (Houston) took the loss for the Tigres.
The loss drops Aragua into a three-way tie for fifth place, two games out of fourth. The Tigres close their regular season tomorrow afternoon with a game at Magallanes.
