Pablo Sandoval's (San Francisco) two-run single in the seventh gave Magallanes a 4-3 victory over Aragua Wednesday. The loss ends the Tigres' season.
Ronny Cedeno (Pittsburgh) led Aragua with two hits. Wilson Ramos was 1-for-4 with a home run, his twelfth. Hector Gimenez (Pittsburgh) also homered for the Tigres. Yangervis Solarte was 0-for-2 and Jonathan Goncalves was 0-for-3.
Rafael Cova got the win for Magallanes. Clevelan Santeliz (White Sox) got the save. Ex-Twin Yohan Pino (Cleveland) started and gave up only one run on two hits in 5.2 innings. Eduardo Sanchez (St. Louis) took the loss.
Aragua failed to make the playoffs. The Tigres finished their season in seventh place, thirteen games out of first.
