- In browsing through the first article in the magazine, "10 Questions: The answers you need prior to entering any fantasy draft room", I found a very pleasant surprise:
1 Will the Twins' Target Field be as much of a hitter's park as The Metrodome was? The Metrodome ... was the eighth-best park for hits, as well as for home runs. A big factor in it being so hit-friendly was the artificial turf ... The homer-friendliness was due largely to the ball carrying well indoors. So while Target Field's dimensions are going to be similar, flyballs will now have real-life weather to fight through. For a ridiculously thorough analysis of the new park and how it's projected to play, check out the research that was done at www.stickandballguy.com/blog/tag/target-field.
Yay sean!!
- Under the "Expert Picks" section, only the AL Central writer picked Joe as a repeat MVP, and also picked Pavano as AL Deepest Sleeper. 50/50 split between Twins and White Sox as AL Central winner.
- Auction Tip Sheet values for Twins from the top 100 overall:
17: Joe Mauer $29 (highest catcher; next catcher was Victor Martinez at #110)
27: Joe Nathan $27 (highest relief pitcher; one spot above Rivera)
69: Michael Cuddyer $21
72: Justin Morneau $21
83: Denard Span $20
98: Jason Kubel $20

Personal notes:
- We're coming off of an MVP year, so a lot of Mauer rags are hitting the book stands, to go with the typical Pujols and Jeter fawning.

I hope that isn't the link they used in the magazine!
Even worse -- they have http://www.stickandballguy.om/blog/tag/target-field
Half baked, I tell ya.
Was O-Dog or even Thome in the fold before the predctions were made?
absolutely not.
Hudson came in at $8, and Thome at $5
That's some sexy stubble Mauer's got going there.
Ridiculously thorough, woo! That is really cool.
