All our best. SBG, Lucy, & BabySBG Hello everyone, this is BabySBG, and I haven't written here in quite some time, but I thought I'd take a few minutes to discuss the Twins Bloggers get together on Saturday at the Park Tavern in St. Louis Park, MN. By my recollection, this was the first time I've been to St. Louis Park and also my first Blogger's get together, although Mommy went to one when she was nine months pregnant with me. I really enjoyed my time at the get together. I tried to let everyone know that I had a good time. I was smiling and very content. I got a chance to visit with some of Daddy's blogger friends. We also got to watch the Twins beat up on the Detroit Tigers. Yay! Here are some pictures of the event. ![]() Here I am telling Aaron Gleeman how much I prefer WARP3 as a metric over Win Shares. Nick N. apparently agrees with me.
Here is Baby SBG. She's looking like a right hander. No, be a lefty like your your Dad! So, BabySBG is now just over eight days old, I'm trying to catch up on all the work that didn't get done over the past three weeks or so, and Lucy can't drive for up to six weeks because she had a C-Section (man was last Tuesday an extremely tough day). I have to run all the errands that she used to run and will again. This leaves me very little time to keep contributing to the WGOM. I want to thank all of the people that have pitched in to keep this thing afloat. Of course, ubelmann has been pretty much running the site for three weeks. I feel like a guest writer. Big Mak's contributions have been very interesting -- I've enjoyed them a whole lot. AMR's Mugshot Purgatory is great. Thank you. brianS and frightwig have been manning the DJ role to great effect. Thanks. I have been enjoying the clips. This has been a great experience. Lucy and I are thrilled with our new roles as parents. Our darling daughter has been a joy. She doesn't fuss much, she sleeps well, and she is strong and growing stronger. Did I say it's been great? I'm sure all of you fathers out there know what I'm talking about. Thanks for all the well wishes. Anyway, I hope to get back into the swing of things in the near future. In addition, I hope that those who are contributing and who might want to contribute in the future feel free to do so. Without all of you, this site is just me and my blather. Delaney, Bonnie & Friends (including George Harrison, Billy Preston and Eric Clapton): Coming Home Welcome to the world, baby. BabySBG was born at 10:58PM on April 24, 2007. She was 9# 1oz and 20.5 inches long. Everyone is fine. BabySBG is staying put for now. We went in on Friday night and things did not progress, so we couldn’t induce on Saturday. They gave us the option of coming in on Saturday night, but Lucy said why? They did some more testing and found that BabySBG is doing fine right where she is. So, we decided to let things be. And so, we wait. It was a frustrating weekend, but Lucy did a very good job of questioning things and making sure that we made the right decision. Our basis for wanting to induce was no longer a factor, so BabySBG will come when she comes, at least for right now. She’s full-term, at her due date, and even still, things are fine. And so, we wait. We're going in on Friday night (tonight) again. Maybe she'll come before then, but who knows. We want you to join us in a big ol' great big bottle of gin We're thinking good thoughts, Lucy. [SBG Note: We are anticipating that BabySBG will be born on Wednesday. That's not some stupid guess, but rather is based on knowledge that we acquired this morning.] I've been pretty active lately. I haven't been getting out or anything, but I'm not just laying around. I'm kickin'! Mom has been feeling an intensely sharp pain in her side. Hee hee! Dad made her go to the doctor and get checked out. It weren't nothin', just little old me. I'm having fun pushing my feet into Mommy's rib cage. She can't sleep, she hurts when she moves, and her ribs are excruciatingly sore to the touch. Sorry, Mommy! The doctor says I'm doing fine. I know that I feel good! I knew that I would, now! BabySBG |
