Hey everyone. Here are some pictures from this weekend's convention. I posted these in kind of a rush. I haven't had a chance to tweak them in Photoshop yet, so some of the pictures are a little dark. I'll re-post them when I have a chance to clean them up. Also, I know I have pictures of New Guy and Greenmachine somewhere too, so I'll make sure they get up.

Our picnic spot SBG snagged for us. It wasn't his first choice, but it turned out to be an excellent spot.

Banjo on the grill. The brats were excellent.

In the offseason, there were a few free-agent signings, and minor trades.
Don't know how former Royal Brian Bass came to the team, but he's here now, as a NRIT. Former Astros Adam Everett and Mike Lamb were signed in succession.

(Bass '08, '06; Everett '08, '07-PS; Lamb '08)
Also, the team got Livan Hernandez, Craig Monroe, and Matt Macri (NRIT). Macri came late last season via the Ramon Ortiz trade.

(Hernandez '08, Monroe '08, Macri '08)
I saw Monroe play CF for a few innings at a Cubs game last September. Jaque Jones played CF in that game, too. He looks really happy, as if someone made a $2 Million error in his favor.

AMR,
Minnesota Twins,
Mugshot Purgatory
Now on to the current Twins (and NRITs). This year's crop looks a bit like the KC 07s, without the sunset. Cool and soft.
Two big trades over the winter resulted in a bunch of new faces over here.
Trade #1 saw Garza and Bart go to Tuberculosis for Delmon Young, Brendan Harris, and Jason Pridie.

(Young '08, Harris '08, Pridie '08)
Don't know what's up with Delmon's photo. It's not a photoshop of his '06 or '07 TB shots, but it looks like none of the other Twins Mugs. I like Pridie more now that I know he cares so little about looking clean for photo day.
Trade #2 saw Johan leave and brought four players: Carlos Gomez, Phillip Humber, Kevin Mulvey, and Deolis Guerra.

(Gomez '08, Humber '08, Mulvey '08, Guerra '08)
CarGo must be the youngest looking Twin in '08.
